Qi Gong Movement

Seasonal rhythms, embodied through breath, movement and imagination.

Qi Gong is for those who are used to giving more than they receive

Many people arrive to this space in between things.

Between meetings, caregiving, teaching, various responsibilities, and the weight of holding it all together. The body is often scattered, the mind still moving, and the nervous system not yet settled.

And yet there is a knowing that it’s time to pause - and we begin there.

Teachers, caregivers, parents, artists, facilitators, therapists - anyone who is caring and holding space for others - Qi Gong practice offers a way to return to yourself.

Each gesture becomes a way to listen, soften, and re-align with vitality.

A different kind of practice

Each session opens with a simple, repeated ritual of grounding and centering, connecting to the earth below, the sky above, and the quiet alignment of head, heart, and body.

From there, something begins to shift.

Through breath, gentle movement, and guided imagery, the practice opens into an embodied imagination. Through sensing and becoming, moving as water, as wind, as rooted earth, as something alive and responsive.

I don’t practice or teach Qi Gong as performing certain movements correctly. It is not a workout, and it is not a passive meditation.

I think of it as entering into a relationship with the body, with attention, and with a world that is alive and responsive.

What makes this space different

In many movement spaces, attention turns toward the form, the repetition, timing, intensity, comparison, or getting it right.

Here, we move differently.

  • We move to listen

  • We move to feel

  • We move to soften

  • We move to reconnect with something more intuitive and alive.

The body is not something to fix or improve but something to be in relationship with.

We use imagination as a doorway into a more connected reality.

“Having practiced many different movement and meditation forms, I continue to be delighted by how impactful Judit’s Qi Gong-based mindful movement sessions are.

You can be completely new to the practice and still join in with ease and benefit.

Even when my schedule doesn’t always allow me to attend, I make the effort because I always leave feeling revived in mind, body, and spirit.

Judit makes the sessions engaging and enjoyable. I look forward to more.”

Benefits the matter to you

People often notice a slowing of the nervous system, a settling of scattered energy, a softening of chronic tension. Sometimes the practice is deeply calming.  Sometimes it's energizing or surprising.

Often it's both.

Nervous system regulation. Your body has been in helper mode for a long time; this practice teaches it another way.

Non-performance. Qi Gong is not about perfecting the body.  For people exhausted by achieving, in this practice you literally cannot fail!

Permission to receive.  Helpers caregivers, you give a lot. Pause. This is a practice of being, not doing.

Accessible.  You don’t have a lot of time.  20-30 minutes is totally achievable weekly or even daily! That's not a small thing.

Play.  We play Qi Gong, not practice it.

Free Weekly Open Play

Qi Gong is way more than just a practice, it’s a play! Free from judgment, it’s full of imagination, lots of pretend-play and laughter. As adults, we don’t play like that as often as we should. This is an open invitation to anyone who is curious and want to play with us.

You’re welcome to join just as you are. There is nothing you need to prepare, no experience required, and no expectation to ‘do it right.’ You can keep your camera on or off. A small space to stand or sit is enough. If you’re feeling tired, scattered, or unsure, that’s completely welcome here.

Online on Thursdays 4 pm (EST) for 30 minutes.

About Working with Me

In my role as a Certified Traditional Qi Gong teacher, I don’t focus on perfecting movement. My practice and teaching are shaped by years of practice in Tai Qi, Qi Gong, Nei Gong and related traditions, alongside a deep interest in how the body learns through attention, imagination, and relationship.

I guide you into a way of practicing where the body can soften, listen, respond, and where movement becomes a way of sensing, rather than performing. I often use imagery and elements from the natural world to support this process, inviting a more intuitive and playful experience of being in the body.

This is a space where all bodies are welcome, and where the practice can meet you as you are.

Rooted in Reciprocity, Offered in Trust

I offer these practices in gratitude for the Wildness that Escapes. I offer a sliding scale and an invitation into reciprocity. Let us find together the balance where none of us feels exploited, and all feel nourished.
